Salasso Rose Landwein

This is not your average light rosé. Salasso Rosé comes from the Raspini family’s biodynamic farm, located in the Kaiserstuhl region on volcanic soil. Its name, Salasso, means „bleeding”: this wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes by taking part of the juice intended for red wine at the very beginning of fermentation. This method gives the wine a more powerful, rich and structured character than a typical rosé.

Taste? The wine is dry, with a strong character and full of energy. It is dominated by notes of red berries (raspberry, cranberry), complemented by subtle herbal aromas. Thanks to the saignée method, it has a noticeable but elegant tannic structure (gently astringent in the mouth) and a long, refreshing aftertaste.

How to serve? Serve chilled (around 10-12 °C). „This is a serious gastronomic rosé that can replace a light red wine at the table. Pair with grilled poultry, pork skewers, or even pizza.”
