SRC – Vinno Rosso Barbabecchi 2020

SRC is a small family operation started in 2013 with five wines from about 17 hectares of Contrada (sites) between Solicchiata and Randazzo on the northern slopes of Mt. Etna in Sicily. The name comes from the first initials of owners Rori and Cinzia, and their daughter Sandra. As a double meaning, when you say the words SRC together, it sounds like the Italian phrase ‘essence’ meaning: ‘We are here.’

Aromas of cherry, dark chocolate, dried herbs, and aromatic plants rise from the glass. The taste is fruity, pleasantly dry, with soft tannins, spicy notes, and very refreshing.
