Serraghia – Rouge Onda Terre Siciliane IGP
1 in stock
Rouge Onda (lit. “Red Wave”) is a natural red wine from Gabrio Bini (Serraghia farm) that comes from the volcanic island of Pantelleria. It is a lighter, fresher expression of red wine, made from the local Perricone grape (sometimes blended with Pignatello). The wine is made in a “zero-zero” style: fermented and aged in terracotta amphorae buried in the ground, without any intervention or added sulfites.
The taste? The wine is dry, light-bodied, and extremely refreshing. It is dominated by tart red berries (raspberries, cherries), complemented by earthy and herbal notes. The amphora gives it a pleasant but not heavy structure (tannins) and a long, mineral finish.
How to serve? Serve slightly chilled (around 14–16 °C). Its refreshing character makes it an ideal wine for everyday drinking. Pair with pasta with a light sauce, roasted poultry, or a cheese platter.
