Description

Riserva Genevieve is a white/orange wine produced by Gabrio Bini (Serraghia farm on the island of Pantelleria). It is made from 100% local Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria) grapes, grown biodynamically on volcanic terraces. It is a zero-zero wine: fermented and aged for a long time (up to 7 months) in terracotta amphorae buried in the ground, with the skins (which is why it is orange). The wine is produced without any intervention and without added sulfites.

The taste? The wine is dry, powerful, and has an incredible aromatic intensity. It is dominated by dried citrus fruits (apricots, dried peaches), white tea, honey wax, and bright notes of salt and minerality. Due to prolonged contact with the skins and amphora aging, it has a firm tannin structure and a long, complex finish.

How to serve? Serve slightly chilled (around 54–57 °F). Before tasting, it is recommended to decant or let it “breathe” in the glass. This is an excellent wine for meditation or for pairing with particularly complex dishes: aged cheese, oriental cuisine, or mushrooms.
