Sangiovese

La Lupinella is an organic family farm in Tuscany with a unique history linked to clay: the Bitossi family have been renowned ceramics masters since the 16th century. Now they have transferred this passion to wine, ageing it not only in oak barrels but also in clay amphorae. This wine is 100% Sangiovese, produced naturally, with spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention to reveal the true character of Tuscany.
The taste? The wine is dry, elegant, and has a deep character. It is dominated by notes of wild cherries, red currants, and dried rose petals. Amphora and oak give it an incredible texture (felt in the mouth), with hints of earthiness (terracotta) and spices. The finish is long, with silky tannins and a pleasant minerality.
How to serve? Serve slightly chilled (around 16-18 °C) in a wine glass. This is an excellent gastronomic wine. Pair it with classic Italian cuisine: pasta with meat sauce (ragù), pizza, grilled meat or aged cheeses.
