RATPENAT

“Ratpenat” means “bat” in Catalan. This wine is Celler Credo’s tribute to these small flying insects, which are vital to the vineyard’s ecosystem, as they naturally kill insects. It is a biodynamic white wine made from 100% Macabeu grapes grown in the Penedès region. The wine is fermented with natural yeasts and briefly aged in old oak barrels and steel to gain depth but maintain freshness.

Taste? This wine is not a powerful explosion of fruit – it is elegant, dry and delicate. It is dominated by notes of white fruit (apple, pear) and flowers (chamomile), complemented by a pleasant herbal aroma (fennel). The taste is fresh and acidic, with a clearly perceptible minerality and a long, deep aftertaste.

How to serve? Serve chilled (around 10 °C) in a wine glass. This is a great gastronomic wine that goes perfectly with white meat (chicken, turkey), fish dishes, sushi or mild, soft cheeses.
