Description

This is not your typical Italian Pinot Blanc. Raspini Pinot Blanc comes from Germany, from the specific Kaiserstuhl region, famous for its volcanic soil. It is a micro-winery of a German-Sicilian family, where everything is done by hand, without compromise and with great respect for nature. The wine is fermented naturally (spontaneously) and aged for 10 months in old oak barrels (barrique), unfiltered and unfined.

Taste? The wine is dry, mineral and has a deep character. Due to the volcanic soil, it is dominated not so much by fruitiness as by energy and structure. There is a pronounced saltiness and stone minerality, complemented by subtle notes of ripe fruit and barrel aging. This is a precise, authentic and very gastronomic wine.

How to serve? Serve chilled (around 10-12 °C) in a wine glass to reveal its complexity. Due to its minerality and structure, it is an ideal wine with food. Pair with fried chicken, fatty fish dishes or mature hard cheeses.
