MUZ

Partida Creus MUZ – a natural vermouth from Catalonia (Baix Penedès / Massís de Bonastre region), made from a blend of young red wine, aged red wine, and oxidized white wine, with a variety (about 51) of wild herbs, citrus peel, mountain and oriental spices. The alcohol is not overly sweet – the wine/vermouth has a bright, clean profile.

Important things to know:
• Vermouth is a flavored fortified wine or wine-based beverage intended for aperitifs or mixing.
• It uses a natural wine base + a variety of botanical ingredients (“herbs, bark, roots”) to create a complex but very accessible profile.
• Style – perfect as a cool aperitif with ice and orange peel, or as part of a cocktail.

Aroma: orange peel, notes of mountain herbs and flowering fields, a line of spices enveloped in citrus peel, a light glow of wood/resin.
Taste: moderate sweetness, bright bitterness, black berries, herbs, warm spice notes, mineral/eye accent; texture – smooth, medium-length finish, leaves you wanting another glass.
Pairing: serve well chilled (~8-10 °C) with ice and a slice of orange; goes well with tapas, olives, salted nuts, hummus, and also as a cocktail base (e.g., with one tonic).
