“Mersel Lebnani Ahmar (Lebanese Red) is a natural red wine from one of the world’s highest vineyards, located in the Qannboubine Valley in Lebanon (about 2,400 meters above sea level). It is a blend of organically grown Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tempranillo grapes. Due to the extreme altitude, the grapes ripen slowly, retaining incredible freshness and aroma. The wine is produced naturally, without additives and with minimal intervention.
The taste? The wine is dry, juicy, and surprisingly refreshing (despite the sunny climate). It is dominated by dark berries (blackcurrants, blackcurrants), complemented by notes of spices (black pepper) and herbs. The altitude gives it excellent acidity and a mineral aftertaste.
How to serve? Serve slightly chilled (around 16 °C) in a wine glass. This is a versatile gastronomic wine. It pairs perfectly with Lebanese appetizers (mezze), grilled meats (e.g., kebabs), lamb, or vegetable stews.”
