“Summertime – Le Temps Est Bon” (lit. “Good Weather”) is the perfect summer drink! It is a white Pet-Nat (naturally sparkling wine) produced in the Loire Valley by Sebastien Bobinet’s winery project “Summertime.” This wine is made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes, grown organically on clay and limestone soil. The wine has an alcohol content of only 10.5%, and the effervescence is obtained using the natural méthode ancestrale method – with a minimal amount of sulfites (< 15 mg/l).
The taste? The wine is dry (with very little residual sugar), refreshing, and pleasantly sparkling. It is dominated by notes of fresh pears, fresh almonds, and citrus fruits. It is crisp, slightly “round” (gourmande) and has elegant, fine bubbles.
How to serve? Serve well chilled (around 8-10 °C). It is perfect as an aperitif or with fruit desserts.
