Le Ciel Est Bleu (English: The Sky is Blue) is the perfect summer drink! It is a sparkling wine (probably Pet-Nat style) from the Domaine Bobinet project, located in the Loire Valley. This wine is a unique blend of red, white, and gray grapes (Grolleau Gris, Chenin Blanc, Grolleau), and its alcohol content is only 10%! The wine has a lively and elegant bubble structure.
The taste? The wine is dry, lively, and endlessly refreshing. It is dominated by notes of red berries (raspberries), herbs, and citrus fruits, which are intertwined with a light spiciness. It is a clean, energetic, and very easy-to-drink wine, reminiscent of summer berry syrup, but completely dry.
How to serve? Serve well chilled (around 8–10 °C). It is the perfect wine for an aperitif or a party. It goes well with light snacks, salads, or roasted poultry.
