Ipanema

“Ipanema” is the perfect name for a wine that evokes sunshine and good vibes! It is a rare “Blouge” style wine produced by Domaine Bobinet in the Saumur region of the Loire Valley. It is made from 80% organically grown Grolleau (red) and 20% Chenin Blanc (white) grapes. The production process is unique: the Grolleau grapes undergo carbonic maceration, then they are pressed and the juice is mixed with Chenin Blanc juice for joint fermentation. The wine is aged in steel tanks, unfiltered and without added sulfites.

The taste? The wine is dry, extremely light-bodied and incredibly refreshing. It is dominated by tart red berries (cranberries, raspberries) and citrus fruit (lemon zest) notes, complemented by a light herbal spice. It is an energetic, clean, and easy-to-drink wine (“glou-glou”).

How to serve? Serve well chilled (around 8–10 °C). It is the perfect aperitif or party wine that doesn’t need a special occasion. It goes well with light snacks, salads or simply on its own on a sunny day.
