Partida Creus are natural wine pioneers in Catalonia, reviving old local grapes. “GT” stands for “Garrut” – it is 100% of this rare local grape (also known as Monastrell), harvested from biodynamic vineyards. The wine is made in a completely natural way: fermented spontaneously, aged in old oak barrels and bottled unfiltered and without any added sulphites.
Taste? Unlike other lighter Partida Creus wines, “Garrut” is richer, darker and more structured. The wine is dry, dominated by dark berries (blackberries, plums), complemented by earthy notes (rust, leather) and Mediterranean herbs (rosemary). It has firm but well-integrated tannins (astringent in the mouth) and a long, spicy aftertaste.
How to serve? Serve slightly chilled (around 16-18°C). This is a serious gastronomic wine. It is ideal with grilled red meat, rich meat stews or mature hard cheeses.
