Description

Cloè is a rosé wine (Rosato) produced by the Abbazia San Giorgio family farm, located on the volcanic island of Pantelleria. The vineyards are cultivated organically on volcanic soil. The wine is made from the elegant Nerello Mascalese grape, which is briefly macerated (about 2 days) with the skins. The wine is aged in steel and chestnut barrels and bottled without added sulfites.

The taste? The wine is dry, crisp, and full of energy. It is dominated by small red berries (raspberries, cherries) and fresh aromatic herbs. The finish is clean, with a sense of volcanic minerality and saltiness that makes it gastronomic and unusual.

How to serve? Serve well chilled (around 11–13 °C). This is an excellent gastronomic rosé wine. Its minerality makes it ideal for pairing with appetizers, white meat, fish, or vegetarian dishes.
