Description

Atardecer (lit. “Sunset”) is a tribute to the ancient winemaking methods and legends of orange wine by the Roca Viva project (Radikon, Prinčič). It is a natural wine from Andalusia, made from two organically grown grapes: 50% Muscat of Alexandria and 50% Pedro Ximénez. It acquired its wonderful color and character because it was macerated (stored) with the grape skins. The wine is bottled unfiltered and without added sulfites.

Taste? The wine is dry, aromatic and has a pleasant texture. It perfectly combines the characters of the two varieties: Muscat gives orange blossom, peach and floral notes, while Pedro Ximénez adds richness, structure and hints of dried fruit. The maceration gives a light structure (reminiscent of tea), and the aftertaste is long, with a wonderful minerality and a salty sensation.

How to serve? Serve chilled (around 10-12°C) in a wine glass. Due to its aroma and structure, it is an excellent gastronomic wine. Pair with seafood, grilled fish, poultry or vegetable snacks (tapas).
